Brandon was born and raised in Concord, NC. His dream as a kid was to become a NASCAR driver. He actually raced a lot when he was younger. Most of his racing was through online simulations, where Brandon won multiple races and championships.
While racing, Brandon always had a love for weather. It was weather phenomena like lightning and thunderstorms that would inspire Brandon to one day become a meteorologist.
He would grow up watching his idol Meteorologist Eric Thomas, who is a local Charlotte chief meteorologist at WBTV News. From there, he knew he wanted to be able to tell the weather on television one day.
Brandon went to school at UNC Charlotte. He would eventually meet his idol Eric Thomas during his college days. He also interned at WBTV News as well. In May 2019, he would graduate with a bachelors degree in meteorology from UNC Charlotte.
In July of 2019, he would get his first start in broadcast, as the weekend meteorologist at WVVA News in Bluefield, WV.
Brandon covered a lot at WVVA News in his two years there. He reported on extreme weather events, news stories and even sports.
Brandon joins the WCHS Eyewitness News Team as their weekend meteorologist. He is excited about the opportunity and believes this team will make an excellent fit.
Things Brandon enjoys doing in his free time is hiking, shooting some hoops at the park or gym, fighting for his favorite sports teams, racing and many more outdoor activities.
