Crash involving vehicle and side-by-side injures two, shuts down U.S. 35 in Putnam County

PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — A crash involving a vehicle and side-by side injured two people and affected traffic along a Putnam County roadway Tuesday evening, dispatchers said.

The wreck temporarily closed north and southbound lanes of U.S. 35 near Hurricane Creek, according to Winfield police.

Emergency crews encourage drivers to avoid the area if possible.

The condition of those injured were not immediately available.
