LOS ANGELES (TND) — The cast of "Love Island USA" Season 6 gathered in New York City this week for the recording of the reunion special, which promises plenty of relationship updates -- including all the drama.
It's set to start streaming Monday night on Peacock.
"The most dramatic season of Love Island USA isn’t over yet,” reality TV star Ariana Madix, who hosts the show, said in a 15-second teaser that dropped Friday. “Your favorites are returning to spill it all.”
Photos from the event show multiple cast members from the the reality dating series posing together in front of theEmpire State Building ahead of the premiere.
According to Deadline, Islanders who participated in the reunion special included Season 6 winners Serena Page andKordell Beckham, as well as the following cast members:
Not only did Page and Beckham win bragging rights, they also earned $100,000 for being crowned the winners. They split the winnings evenly, with each taking home $50,000.
Not all the Islanders were at the reunion however, as Caine Bacon said he was excluded from the event after he was originally set to attend.
Deadline reported he "was dumped from the taping days before filming happened" following a controversial video he shared on social media.
The media outlet reported he "had been documenting his journey to the Big Apple" before the reunion and stopped at an Asian restaurant. He was reportedly overheard saying "sensitive remarks that many viewers attribute to why he was 'canceled' from the reunion special."
"Bacon said that he never wanted to be part of the show and was unhappy with the edit he got from his time in the villa," according to Deadline.
Plus, while Deadline said Kendall Washington participated in the reunion, TikToker Emily Schwartz pointed out he doesn't appear in the teaser. The clip also shows his girlfriend, Nicole Jacky, crying.
"I am so curious about what went down between Nicole and Kendall at this reunion," Schwartz said.
A description of the show on Peacock's website notes it is "a real-time dating competition featuring a group of sexy singles living in a tropical villa who must try to win the $100K prize by coupling up and surviving to the end." The latest season was hosted byAriana Madix, who rose to fame on another reality show, "Vanderpump Rules."
The special is set to start streaming -- without Bacon -- Monday at 9 p.m. ET.
