WALTON COUNTY, Fla. — A Florida man was busted with methamphetamine while checking in with his probation officer, according to the Walton County Sheriff's Office.
Brandon Lee Harris, 31, of DeFuniak Springs is charged with felony violation of probation, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The incident happened Monday at the State Probation Office on Highway 90 in DeFuniak Springs.
The sheriff's office says "it was discovered Brandon Lee Harris was attempting to conceal methamphetamine in a small plastic baggy, two syringes, and a nasal spray bottle containing an unknown substance."
Deputies say Harris was scheduled to meet with his probation officer and "admitted to knowing he had narcotics and paraphernalia on him before arriving."
The nasal spray bottle was sent off to be tested.
Jail records show Harris was previously arrested twice in Walton County in 2023 on drug charges.
He was also arrested in Walton County in March of this year for child abuse, as well as in December 2022 for grand theft of a motor vehicle.
