Fire destroys Putnam County home early Wednesday morning

POCA, W.Va. (WCHS) — A Putnam County home was destroyed by a fire early Wednesday morning.

The fire was reported just before 6:45 a.m. in the 800 block of Black Track Road in Poca, according to Nitro officials.

Crews said no injuries were reported, but the home was a total loss.

Firefighters from Nitro, Bancroft and Eleanor provided mutual aid during the blaze.

No information was available on what caused the fire.
