The GOP Vice President nominee spoke to a police union inWisconsin on Friday.

Donald Trump's running mate centered his speech on crime at the Milwaukee Police Association's headquarters.

He addressed the need for supportive law enforcement policies during his speech and highlighted significant issues with the current leadership.

"What we want to talk about today is how we need to have a law enforcement policy that is just supportive of the people who are actually keeping us safe," said Ohio Senator JD Vance "We need a president, Donald J. Trump, who makes their job easier and not harder. We've got to cut out with the anti-law enforcement craziness. We've got to cut out with some of the policies that have come from the Harris administration that make it harder for the police to do their job."

It was Vance's first time giving a political speech inMilwaukee, but his second in Wisconsin.

He criticized Harris for her handling of sex crime whiles she was a prosecutor.

"Kamala Harris pursued a policy that would recategorize people who had committed sex crimes with minors and people who had raped unconscious victims as nonviolent crimes," said Vance before he gave his interpretation. "That means those people get out of prison earlier, that means their victims have to suffer the psychological abuse of seeing them walking around our streets sooner, and that means the police officer have a few more sickos that they have to take care of instead of being in prison where those sex offenders belong."

The Republican didn't stop there with his criticism. He called out Harris', who was named the Biden administration's border czar, record for making American communities less safe.

"So the border policies that we have at the southern border, they make our communities less safe even as far north as Wisconsin. It means Mexican drug cartels operating in our communities. It means people dying of fentanyl," said Vance. " I talked to another police officer who talked about, we have fentanyl not just in heroin and opioids and even prescription pills, or I guess non-prescription pills that are sold on the street. We've got fentanyl in our marijuana bags that our teenagers are using."

Vance emphasized the importance of cutting down illegal immigration to improve public safety and touted Donald Trump’s potential re-election as vital for law enforcement support. 'Kamala Harris refuses to do her job,' Vance stated, linking border policies to the fentanyl crisis.

Vance's campaign pointed the finger at the Harris and Biden administration saying,"dangerously liberal Democrats have done absolutely nothing" to address crime in places like Milwaukee.

"President Donald Trump and JD Vance know Wisconsinites can’t take another four years of weak leadership and they are devastated to see Americans suffer because of the Democrats’ soft on crime agenda," the campaign stated.

Gov. Walz and Harris are expected at their rally inMilwaukee next week.

Earlier this week, the Harris campaign noted violent crime has been on a decline under the Biden-Harris administration.

"While Vice President Harris has helped oversee the largest drop in homicides in 50 years, JD Vance is running alongside a convicted felon who saw violent crime skyrocket when he was president and tried to overturn an election on January 6th," stated Brianna Johnson, the Harris campaign's Wisconsin communications director. "Vice President Harris is the only candidate who will keep our communities safe and protect our democracy."

Trump is slated to hold a rally in Wilkes-Barre this weekend while Harris and her running mate kick off a bus tour in Pittsburgh on Sunday just before the Democratic National Convention.
