DNC DAY 2

Democrats are turning their focus to the future under a potential Kamala Harris administration in the second day of the DNC.

Mark Martin

Sports Director

My late grandfather, George Russell Heiskell (pronounced like high school), told my parents they should let me try T-Ball. They did, and the rest as they say is history.

I played sports from that moment on until reaching the age of 21 when my football days wrapped up at Marietta College. I earned my B.A. in Radio-TV at Marietta. During those college years I started working for newspapers and radio stations. I also did some TV work while in college.

There's nothing quite like covering sports for a living. I love all aspects of the business from anchoring to reporting to play-by-play to sideline work to writing to editing to shooting. It is a labor of love.

The greatest part of my job has been all of the great people I've met through the years and the abundance of friendships made.

I love hearing from people and I'm really good at responding. Give me a call, write a letter (yes, I still write them) or, send along an e-mail to markmartin@sbgtv.com.
