PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — Putnam County Schools will work with first responders to conduct a safety exercise Wednesday, education officials said.
The district plans to test the real-time response actions of students, staff and the community at an undisclosed school on Aug. 21, according to a social media post from Putnam County Schools.
The post said the exercise is expected to last two-to-three hours and will not disrupt students or community members.
Education officials said the drill will determine policy strengths and areas of improvement as students return to school.
