Sheila Gray

Special Correspondent Sheila Gray reports on issues affecting women and families for Sinclair Broadcast Group's "Family 4-1-1" reports.

She is no stranger to our West Virginia viewers. Sheila anchored the evening newscast in Charleston at WSAZ for 11 years. She was recognized by The West Virginia Associated Press for her reporting. Eyewitness News and Sinclair Broadcasting are happy she has joined our team.

Sheila has a great love for the Mountain State, having met her husband, retired West Virginia State Police Sgt. Sgt. Ric Robinson and agency spokesman, there. They welcomed their daughter, Katie, in Charleston. Sheila and Ric are the parents of four children, Kasey, Kari, Katie, and Eric.

While in Charleston, they enjoyed boat rides on the PA Denny, walks along the Kanawha River, hiking in Kanawha Forest and dinners at the site of their first date, Fazio's. Sheila still feels a surge of pride when she looks upon the golden dome of the Capitol building in Charleston, having covered many stories within its walls. Most of all, Sheila and Ric hold a great fondness for the people of West Virginia, who touched their hearts, and the many friends who continue to touch their lives.

Sheila is a native of Columbus, Ohio, and studied at the prestigious Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, graduating magna cum laude. After leaving Charleston in 1999, Sheila's next stop was Cincinnati, Ohio, where she co-hosted the Fox 19 Morning News.

Sheila has volunteered and served on the board of Make A Wish Foundation and currently serves on the advisory board of Pink Ribbon Girls breast cancer support group. She is happy that her alarm is no longer sounding at 2:30 a.m. and is looking forward to this new chapter in her career, and a new broadcasting family with Sinclair and Eyewitness News.
