SkyTeam captures fall colors at Little Creek Park

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) — For residents of Kanawha County, there is a hidden gem right in your backyard.

Little Creek Park in South Charleston is tucked away behind Little Creek Golf Course. The Eyewitness News SkyTeam drone captured aerial views of the park in October.

Besides its top-notch softball and baseball fields, Little Creek has two basketball and tennis courts near the park entrance, and if you go a little deeper along the winding roads you find what really sets the park apart: an 18-hole disc golf course that offers a challenge for even seasoned golfers.

If that isn't enough to get you off the couch, Little Creek has one of the best soap box derby racing facilities in the state, with a lighted track and facilities for handicap races.

The park is open from March 1 through Oct. 31, seven days a week from 8:30 am to 10:30 pm.
