Storm damage reported in Tornado area of Kanawha County

TORNADO, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) — Homeland Security and Emergency Management Director C.W. Sigman said there have been multiple reports of storm damage in the Tornado area of Kanawha County.
Sigman said there are homes with roof damage and there are trees down throughout the area, including at Big Bend Golf Course.
Appalachian Power is reporting more than 1,400 customers in Kanawha County are without power.
Sigman said meteorologists with the National Weather Service are going to investigate whether a microburst, tornado, or just strong winds caused the damage or tornado.
